Carnival 2024
The 2024 countdown has begun...
The clock is ticking once again...
There are just days left until Carnival Day, 2024.
But, between now and then, there's lots of hard work to be done.
We are already working hard towards Carnival Day, 2024.
The date in 2024 is Sunday, 7th July. However, now is the time to start planning - and that's exactly what we are doing. In fact, the Carnival Committee are meeting once a fortnight and constantly keeping in-touch via group chat.
Stall Booking Requests are now open. We have had a massive response so far and have made contact with all prospective vendors to date (17/02/2024).
Please see the Stall Bookings page if you would like to request a stall, catering or an attraction.
Please use the Contact Us page to provide feed-back of your experiences at Carnival 2023 (good or bad). We value all feed-back.
Making Carnival Day, 2024 even better!
We have identified several areas of improvment and are working hard to makes things better for everyone.
We have a few ideas for Carnival Day, 2024. For example, with the extra funds from our charity shop, we hope to be able to provide even more free activities for everyone.
What have we achieved so far?
We've kicked-off the planning for 2024 earlier than ever before with fortnightly meetings of the committee. If you would like to be part of this, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Please fill-in the Contact form to let us know.
In January of 2023, we launched this website where the public and customers can get all the information they need regarding the next carnival as well as carnival history, bookings or enquiries and much more.
Parking
Carnival 2023 saw the main public carpark almost full to capacity. In an attempt to ease that situation for 2024 - and also to reduce the amount of additional traffic in the local area and congestion along the A60, there will be a small charge applied for each vehicle. This will only apply to the Public Carpark on the Meden School side of the River Meden.
The hard standing car park (Church side) is soley reserved for disabled badge holders only (limited spaces). Please ensure you bring your blue badge on the day otherwise you may be refused entry and asked to park within the main car park. The use of this carpark will remain free of charge.
